Little Nola was just 5 days new when she and her family came to visit me in my studio in downtown Yorkville. Such a tiny doll at just around 5 lbs with a head full of gorgeous dark hair.
Ive had the honor of meeting Nola’s mom, Judy, from Crusade and 1836 Drink Lab as she is the awesome pastry chef there. She has more culinary talent in her pinky than I could ever have. I knew while Judy was pregnant that I somehow wanted to incorporate her love for baking into a special image for Nola. I thought having Nola on a shelf with baking supplies would be a super adorable way to do just that!
For this image, I staged a shelf in my portrait studio and captured an image and then while Nola was in for her session I took an image of her safely lying down on my beanbag. I used my magical photoshop skills to blend them together and this is what we came up with!
Here are some other images we created for Nola’s session. I loved the use of greens and purples.
